Orion DVC210 8 ft DSLR Camera Crane / Jib
PRODUCT VIDEOS
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Orion DVC210 is ProAm USA's 8 ft camera crane designed for heavier DSLR and mirrorless rigs. The key difference from the DVC200: an over-slung camera platform that centers weight above the arm rather than hanging below it. This design gives the DVC210 a 10 lb capacity (vs. 8 lbs on the DVC200), making it the better choice if your camera plus lens, monitor, or other accessories push past the DVC200's limit.
The included Camera Extension Plate accommodates camera bodies that are longer or wider than a typical DSLR, so you're not limited to compact setups. Mount it to any tripod head with standard 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 threads and you're shooting in minutes.
Like every Orion crane, the DVC210 is built from 6061 aircraft aluminum with a powder-coated finish and ships fully pre-assembled. No tools needed. Auto-tilt keeps the camera level during crane movements, and manual tilt mode gives you independent camera angle control when you want it.
The DVC210 accepts optional 4 ft extensions that bring the total length to 12 ft or 16 ft. For filmmakers who need a crane that handles heavier rigs and grows with their kit, this is the one.
What's included: Orion DVC210 crane arm with over-slung platform, Camera Extension Plate, 1" vertical counterweight bar, camera mounting screw (1/4"-20), all assembly hardware. Camera, counterweights, tripod, and stand sold separately.

Questions & Answers
Have a Question?
-
Can this crane be mounted directly on the tripod head?
Yes, the crane's tripod mount has both 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threaded holes for mounting to a tripod head's quick release plate. Just make sure your tripod head can support the overall weight of the crane and keep the tilt lock tightened.
-
is the dvc 200 only for dslr cameras
No, both the DVC200 and DVC210 can be used with all types of cameras.
- The DVC210 (with center mounted and overslung camera platform) work great with the shorter bodies of DSLR and Mirrorless camera, but with the included extension plate, it can accomodate longer camcorder style bodies. The DVC210 can support slightly more weight than the DVC200.
- The DVC200 (with L shaped side mounting bracket) works with all styles of camera body, but has a lower weight limit of 8 pounds due to the offset camera mounting position. -
With the Orion 210 and the added 4 foot extension, how much camera weight can it support, or is it still 10 lbs ?
We advise mounting a load of no more than 8 pounds when using the 4 foot extension with the crane. For 10 pound loads at the extended length, we recommend using the cable support kit.
